This peaceful location is set on the edge of Wallingat State forest, where you can enjoy the wonderful birdlife and see the odd wallaby.

We had a fantastic break at Kookaburra Cottage.  The house itself is brand new, spacious, really nicely furnished, kitchen well stocked (even has a sandwich press and electric hand beater).  They have thought of all the nice little touches like coffee and teabags to get you started and complimentary soap and shampoo in the bathroom.  Beautiful deck to relax on and BBQ and outdoor setting so you can eat and cook outside comfortably.  Couldn’t ask for more.  Close to our favourite beaches Elizabeth Beach and Cellito Beach and a short walk to the lake so kids were never bored.  So peaceful and relaxing I didn’t want to leave and yes kookaburras did make an appearance.  Looking forward to coming back soon and will be highly recommending Kookaburra Cottage to all my friends.

Had four days at Kookaburra Cottage, wasn’t enough, beautiful home, all the right things for the wife to love.  Well presented, peaceful, waterways beautiful, child friendly but the main thing I caught plenty of fish.  Can’t wait to come back.

We absolutely loved Kookburra Cottage and would love to revisit.  We loved being nestled amongst the trees and watching the bird life and particularly enjoyed the large timber deck for meals.  The home was very well pesented, well appointed, clean and tidy.  The surrounding area was pretty and quiet with services, beaches and attractions not too far away.  Staying at Kookaburra Cottage was indeed a very pleasurable experience.
